As we all know, when bathrooms become out dated they can be real eye sores. You want to take pride in your home and it can be awfully difficult to get the right look.
Remodelling your bathroom can be a struggle, with tempers quickly elevating and the feeling of wanting to give up. This task cannot be taken lightly but luckily there are a few things we can do to make this process a lot easier and still allow you to have fun! Follow these decorating tips and you will have an appealing bathroom in no time.
A modern look
There are several ways that this approach can be done. The use of bold contrasts between one pattern and few colours is a great stylish way to lighten up the room. Think about choosing a main colour for the room and then add two other colours as accent colours.
But don’t forget lighting! It is especially important but should never be overdone. A great idea is to set up a backdrop, maybe you could put lights around a mirror above your sink. This way it doesn’t cost that much to make a real difference.
A transitional bathroom
More than likely, you already have everything you need to create this great technique. It is mostly seen in master bathrooms; however, you can introduce this new style into any bathroom in the whole house!
You will need a core colour so, if you’re short on cash it maybe a good idea to pick a colour that is already there. If you prefer to have something fresh and new, select a different leading colour but use the existing colour for accenting. Perhaps you could add some tiling around the mirrors which will compliment your paint colours. This simple idea will draw the eye in a smaller room.
Straightforward but still fashionable
Instead of using the usual decorating tool – paint, why not opt for a stylish wall paper design. There are many ideas that you can run with and they don’t have to be on every wall! A feature wall is a great idea and can give the elusion of a glamorous look. A personal favourite of mine is a floral wall art sticker as you can find one for every mood you’re going for with the room.
If you don’t want that much going on with the walls, furniture is a simple way to create style in the room. A side table with a mirror placed on top can give you that look you’re looking for. And you can easily add some summery flowers which can really brighten up the place.
Whatever you choose to do with your bathroom, make it the best looking room in the house! As we all know that it’s one of the most visited by your guests.
